A DAY AT ROMME ALPIN THIS WINTER.
SKIING AT ROMME ALPIN THIS WINTER
Skiing and outdoor activities are deemed by the Public Health Agency (Folkhälsomyndigheten) as low-risk in terms of virus spread, and are regarded as very important for our well-being at large.
On the lifts we will only allow people from the same party to ride together, or require to leave at least one empty seat in between parties.
With a limited amount of visiting guests we aim for short and spread-out queues. Keep a safe distance (the length of a ski pole is a good measure) and respect others.
This winter even children aged 0-6 will have to pass through lift doors. Pre-book your child's SkiPass – it's free of charge. Note! All guests need to Pre- book their SkiPass. Read more here.
On the slopes there is always enough space to safely keep your distance from others. Show respect and comply.
PARKING
Romme Alpin has spacious parking areas.
The most straightforward way for you as guest is to come to Romme Alpin already dressed to ski and change into your boots by the car.
Top tip! If you have charged your SkiPass and have your own equipment you can park near the lift Götes Express and take a “shortcut” to the top of Solklinten. This way you don't need to transit through Romme Dal avoiding overcrowding there.
How about keeping a thermos or your sandwiches in the car and collecting them later for a pic-nic?
BUS TRIPS – WHAT'S NEW
Romme Alpin offers bus trips from several cities in Sweden. You must book your seat on the bus in advance through the webpage (link) or the app. This winter we have reduced the amount of available seats on the busses. Guests coming by bus are guaranteed access to the lifts and slopes.
RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT
The fastest and safest way to rent equipment from our ski rental is by pre-booking this service online through our website (link) or the app. Your booked equipment will be ready to collect upon arrival.
What's new this winter is that even guests who have booked rental of equipment in advance will be asked to take a queue number and wait for their turn in order to reduce overcrowding.
If you did not pre-book any equipment or have forgotten to book a piece in advance you can take a number, wait for your turn outside and then proceed to rent the equipment you need.
Before you go ahead and book equipment for rental, make sure to book your SkiPass in advance in order to secure access to Romme Alpin on your desired date. Pre-booking your SkiPass is mandatory this season.
SHOP AND WORKSHOP
This winter both the shop and the workshop will allow a limited amount of guests inside at the same time. On busier days there will be staff helping with adjustments of the equipment stationed outside the shop to help you outdoors.
VISITING OUR RESTAURANTS
According to the Public Health Agency (Folkhälsomyndigheten) the best way to reduce the spread of the virus and stay healthy is by staying outdoors.
Eating outdoors
The grill by the Romme Dal square, Blinky, is going to be open every day. On busier days we will also offer outdoor eating facilities in the following locations:
• On top of Snöberget – a new grill with tables, beches and a heated tent.
• Romme Syd – we upgraded the popular pop-up snow bar.
• Grill on the Toppstuga terrace, now directly accessible from outside.
• The Waffle station on the Våffelstuga terrace, now directly accessible from outside.
Waiting outside
All restaurants in the resort will allow a limited amount of guests inside at the same time. A newly installed queuing system will be in place, where guests take a queue number and wait outside until a table is available. Seating places inside each restaurant have also been reduced.
A spacious tent with extra seating places will welcome guests who do not fit inside the Värmestuga on busier days.
Top tip! Change into your ski boots by the car and take your own sandwiches!
If you as a guest want to avoid any contact with other people indoors, we recommend that you come to Romme Alpin alread changed into your ski clothes, change into your ski boots in the parking lot and leave your belongings in the car. Take your own sandwiches and thermos with hot soup from home and enjoy a pic-nic outdoors, keeping a safe diatnce from other people.
This way you are leaving the fewer tables at restaurants to those who choose to stay inside.
ACCOMMODATION AT THE SKI LODGE
This winter we have limited the availability of accommodation options in our Ski Lodge.
In your pre-booked package “Rommepaket” both food and SkiPass are included for the chosen duration of the stay.
The lobby, which is the hotel's “living room”, this winter will be reserved only to Ski Lodge guests. This winter we ask all other guests to come already changed into their ski clothes and change into their ski boots by the car. If you want to warm yourself indoors we ask non-hotel guests to go into the Värmestuga or the nearby heated tent.
No storage of baggage or shoes will be allowed in the lobby.
In the lobby and bar all food and drink consumption will only be allowed at the table. One person per party will be allowed to order at the bar and take the ordered products back to the table.
During lunch time all guests are welcome to the Lodge Restaurant. Parents are responsible for their children and must ensure they remain seated with their party at all times.
We will offer outdoors activities for children every day when the slopes close.
All guests are required to pre-book their meals in advance, this applies both to breakfast and dinner. Read more about our re-booking and cancellation policy at the Ski Lodge.
SKI SCHOOL
Skiing and outdoor activities are deemed by the Public Health Agency (Folkhälsomyndigheten) as low-risk in terms of virus spread, and are regarded as very important for our well-being at large.
Our Ski School this winter will increase distancing between different groups and private guests. Close contact will be avoided as much as possible during ski lessons.
Pupils in group lessons must accept to ride the lift together with the other members of the group, as well as the ski instructor.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY
In addition to all the safety measures in place at Romme Alpin, every person is expected to take their own personal responsibility. Every one – both guests and staff – is to stay home when showing even the slightest of symptoms.
In places prone to crowding keep a safe distance at all times and show respect for other people.
Common areas that are not directly controlled by Romme Alpin staff, like the free barbecues and the sledge slope, require all guests to have extra responsibility in keeping a safe distance and waiting for one's turn.
Only together we can make this a successful winter.

Warm welcome from all of us at Romme Alpin!
